The Chamber of Medford/Jackson County is celebrating 100 years of Helping Business Succeed!
In celebration of our centennial anniversary, the Chamber 100 is a two-day event with the 2019 Excellence in Business awards ceremony on Friday September 13th at the Craterian Theater, and the “Party of the Century,” The Chamber’s 100th Anniversary party on Saturday September 14th at the Inn at the Commons.
For a century now, The Chamber and our community leaders have come together to recognize the talents and achievements of prominent companies and outstanding individuals, who have not only progressed in business, but have also succeeded in setting a great example of community involvement and advocacy.
FIRST CITIZEN: A member of the community who has made a significant contribution to the development of Jackson County over their career. The nominee does not have to be a Chamber member. However, both personal and professional accomplishments will be considered. The award will not be given posthumously. Criteria for selection include business/occupational/professional Success, civic and community Involvement, citizenship and personal conduct.
RETAILER OF THE YEAR: A chamber member who has a record of dependability, success, exceptional customer service and outstanding community service and leadership. Criteria for selection include personal character, business excellence, customer relations, and community service.
MEMBER OF THE YEAR: A Chamber member who has made a significant contribution to the development of The Chamber of Medford/Jackson County. Criteria for selection include chamber activities and involvement, business/occupational/professional success, civic and community involvement, citizenship and personal conduct.
NEW MEMBER OF THE YEAR: A member who has joined the organization within the last three years who has become an active participant in Chamber activities and functions. The nomination can be your business or another, but must be a Chamber member of at least one, but not more than three years. Criteria for selection include chamber activities and involvement, citizenship and personal conduct.
OUTSTANDING CORPORATE CITIZEN (2 categories--for-profit and non-profit): Company that has shown strong evidence of engaging in projects that significantly promote employee development, as well as serve to enhance the quality of life in the areas where that company lives and does business. The nomination can be your business or another but must be a Chamber member. Criteria for selection include civic and community involvement, and employee development programs.
BUSINESS EXCELLENCE (3 categories--small company of fewer than 50 employees; medium company of 51-150 employees; and large company of 151 or more employees): A company that has made an outstanding contribution to The Chamber and has a reputation for community participation and involvement. The nomination can be your business or another but must be a Chamber member.
RISING STAR AWARD: Must have a minimum of 2 years professional experience within their current field and has devoted time to improving the quality of life of others through civic and community service. Actively developing leadership skills and demonstrating growth towards future goals and must demonstrate exceptional professional and personal achievement and an unwavering commitment to our community.
