Criteria

The criteria for the Future First Citizen Scholarship includes the following:         

• Must be a high school senior in Jackson County.

• Must have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.

• Must agree to be interviewed by a panel of judges.

• Candidates must use their scholarship within 1½ years following graduation.

Judges are asked to base their decision on the candidate they believe would make the best “First Citizen” of the future.  Monetary need is not considered in the judging process.
