Celebrate the Achievements of Outstanding Business People at the 89th
Annual Dinner & Awards Banquet
Once a year, The Chamber honors outstanding local businesses and
business people who have made a difference in keeping the economy strong and the community
prosperous. We honor these local
stars at our Annual Dinner & Awards Banquet, held in September.
Anticipation is building for the announcement of our 2008 award
winners. Whose dedication and outstanding
commitment to our community over the years will earn him/her the coveted title of
First Citizen of the Year? Who
will join the
ranks of companies like Airport Chevrolet, Hometown Buffet and Les Schwab as
Retailer of the Year? Other
awards to be given out include Business Excellence in small, medium and large categories,
Member of the Year and New Member of the Year, as well as Outstanding Corporate Citizen in
non-profit and for-profit categories.
We will also be awarding one lucky high school student
with the Future First Citizen Scholarship Award, in memory of William R. Haas, sponsored
by Umpqua Bank. This student will receive a
$5,000 scholarship to college and also a coveted spot in The Chambers Leadership
Medford/Jackson County program during their senior year of high school.
